Uz etiķetes:Bakuchiol. Sauc arī:Marketed as a "plant-based retinol alternative".

A phenolic compound isolated from the seeds of Psoralea corylifolia, a plant used in traditional medicine in India and China. Chemically it is not a retinoid and shares no structure with vitamin A. Laboratory work found it switches on some of the same genes retinol does, which is where the "plant retinol" marketing began — a claim about gene expression in cell culture, not about your face.

Ko tas dara uz ādas

On the evidence available it behaves as an antioxidant with some effect on the same pathways as a retinoid, without the retinisation phase of flaking and stinging. It is generally used the way an entry-level retinol is used, by people who could not tolerate the real thing, and it does not carry the retinoid warnings about light sensitivity.

Cik vērti ir pierādījumi

Pierādījumi:Ierobežots

This is the honest weak point. One small randomised comparison published in 2019 found a 0.5% bakuchiol cream produced improvements in wrinkle and pigmentation scoring comparable to a 0.5% retinol cream over twelve weeks, with less stinging and scaling. It is one small study with a single comparison, and there is no body of long-term work behind it. Treat it as promising rather than proven.

Kā to lieto

Usually 0.5-1% in a serum or cream, morning or evening, daily from the start because the tolerability that makes it attractive also means there is no ramp-up to do. Give it the same three to six months you would give a retinol before deciding whether it did anything.

Tipiskā koncentrācija parastā lietošanā:0.5-2%. Tas ir tirgus apraksts, nevis ieteikums, un tā nav deva.

Kas uz to reaģē

Well tolerated in the small studies that exist and in general use. As with any plant-derived extract, contact allergy is possible and less predictable than with a defined synthetic molecule, so patch test on the inner forearm if you react to botanicals.

Grūtniecība un barošana ar krūti

Nepieciešama saruna

There is no meaningful safety data on bakuchiol in pregnancy. That is not evidence of harm, but it is not reassurance either, and the plant it is extracted from has medicinal uses of its own. Ask your midwife or clinician rather than assuming that "not a retinoid" means "cleared for pregnancy".

Saules gaisma

Nav izmaiņu

Bakuchiol itself is not photosensitising. Worth knowing: the plant it comes from also contains psoralens, which very much are — cosmetic bakuchiol is a purified single compound, not a crude seed extract, and the two should not be confused.

Noteikumi un marķējums

Permitted as a cosmetic ingredient in the EU and listed under its own INCI name. It is not restricted the way retinol now is, which is part of why interest in it rose as the vitamin A limits came in.

Ar ko tas sader un ar ko ne

Sits comfortably with vitamin C, niacinamide and acids, because there is little irritation to stack. Some products combine it with a low-dose retinol, in which case the retinol rules and the pregnancy advice apply to the product as a whole.

Viena lieta, ko cilvēki saprot nepareizi

The myth is in the name it is sold under. Bakuchiol is not a retinoid, is not vitamin A, and does not become retinoic acid in your skin. It may act on overlapping pathways, but "plant-based retinol" describes a marketing position rather than a chemistry, and the evidence base behind it is a fraction of the size.

Bieži uzdotie jautājumi

Ko bakuchiol dara ādas kopšanas līdzeklī?

Tā uzdevums formulā ir antioxidant, retinol-like active. On the evidence available it behaves as an antioxidant with some effect on the same pathways as a retinoid, without the retinisation phase of flaking and stinging. Vai bakuchiol tiešām darbojas?

Pierādījumi, kas pamato tā galveno apgalvojumu, šeit ir vērtēti kā ierobežots.

Vai grūtniecības laikā var lietot bakuchiol?

Nepieciešama saruna. There is no meaningful safety data on bakuchiol in pregnancy. Ask your midwife or clinician rather than assuming that "not a retinoid" means "cleared for pregnancy".

Vai bakuchiol padara ādu jutīgāku pret saules gaismu?

Nav izmaiņu. Bakuchiol itself is not photosensitising. Worth knowing: the plant it comes from also contains psoralens, which very much are — cosmetic bakuchiol is a purified single compound, not a crude seed extract, and the two should not be confused.

Kā bakuchiol saucas sastāvdaļu sarakstā?

Bakuchiol. Tiek rakstīts vai tirgots arī kā: Marketed as a "plant-based retinol alternative". Sastāvdaļas ir uzskaitītas svara dilstošā secībā tikai līdz 1%, tāpēc zemāk par šo robežu tās pozīcija pasaka maz.

Mainīgais, ko jūs nekontrolējat

Lielākā daļa ādas pārmaiņu labāk seko miegam, stresam, ciklam un ēdienam, nekā kādam jaunam produktam. TempoLife visu to reģistrē kopā, tāpēc uzliesmojumam ir laika līnija, nevis aizdomās turamais.
